Economic Mobility & College Pathways

GLA is leading a regional coordination effort that advances access to equitable and enhanced dual enrollment offerings for low-income and BIPOC high school students.

GLA will support a learning network of K-12 districts to design, develop and implement equitable and enhanced dual enrollment programs. The network will promote best practices, actionable strategies, programs, partners, and additional opportunities for resource sharing focused on dual enrollment offerings that are aligned to guided pathways.

In partnership with Best Buy and the Annenberg Foundation, we will launch an innovative pilot program that will transform the path to prosperity and ensure that a bright future is possible for every young person in LA County. Over the next five years, GLA will help open ten new Teen Tech Centers in communities across Los Angeles County.  The centers are operated in partnership with local community-based organizations and provide vital youth development opportunities, digital equity, and workforce pathways into technology and entertainment careers. The centers offer cutting edge technology, dedicated staff, and integrated services including tutoring, mentoring, internships, and social-emotional supports.
