Los Angeles County Teachers of the Year
Each year, the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) honors some of our most talented educators through Teachers of the Year (TOY). A signature event of LACOE, TOY is the largest regional platform to celebrate and honor teachers in the state.
The Greater LA Education Foundation has partnered with LACOE to develop new TOY program elements to elevate, celebrate, and invest in teachers. Together we will invest in dynamic teacher leaders, share best practices, and scale the strategies that deliver results for the students of Greater LA.
Each year teacher leaders are honored for their contributions to their schools and communities. The Los Angeles County Teacher of Year will represent LA County and compete for California Teacher of the Year, in partnership with the CA Department of Education.
Greater LA will develop a permanent hub to feature the stories, advice, and content from TOY honorees and innovation grant recipients – highlighting what works in LA County schools.
